Purelakers worship the great tree that grows from the center of the Purelake, known by many names: the Mother Tree, the Tree of Favor, the World Tree - but most of all, Kairos.
Named after the ancient word kairos, meaning "an opportune and decisive moment," the Tree of Kairos has stood for centuries and seen many of the wars that tore across Her roots. Legend says that the roots of the tree reach out across the entire world, under oceans, rivers, and land alike to connect and guide everything that lives.
In times of continental unrest, Kairos provides a safe haven within its massive roots and branches. To this day, devout Kairosians make daily pilgrimages to the tree, to worship the life-giving energies believed to flow directly from the skies down through Her roots and across all of Atlas.
