Originally founded as a small Vantian mining outpost (the only populated settlement on the Goldwatch Plateau,) the Cirilian Gold Rush exploded the humble town into a booming trade center of Atlas. Once the plateau's resources began to dry up, however, economic and political strains between civilizations put Cirilia at the center of two devastating wars. After a bloody war for independence, the Cirilians successfully seceded from the Vantian Empire... however their economy has never truly recovered, threatening their standing and relevance on the world stage.
